Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC)
Students Resources
Across the country and here at BCC, Writing Across the Curriculum initiatives were designed with you in mind. Despite how it might have seemed in high school, writing at the college level is not a test. Rather, writing is a process of exploration, connection, articulation, and discovery. Writing helps you better remember, understand, and apply what you're learning - in your classes and off campus. Writing also helps you to clarify your thinking and to reflect with nuance and significance. But writing is also like learning a new language; you can often read, listen, and even talk about something with more confidence and sophistication than you might initially be able to write about. That's why your professors, the BCC Writing Center, and other support staff are here for you!
